Chemistry of life - Limiting Reagent

Limiting reagent means a substance present in reactants side in less amount and product formation just depend on limiting reagent.

For example- two boys playing badminton they have 2 rackets and 4 shuttle, if they start to play after some time one shuttle is broken then what do you think game will stop? Nogame will not stop because they have more shuttle but after sometime if one of the racket got broke then now this time game will stopped. Because they have only 2 rackets. Rackets present in less amount and it affect the game. So here rackets is limiting reagent.

Take another example - H2 reacts with O2 and give H2O. In this example if you can see both 2 hydrogen used in formation of product means H2O but in 2 Oxygen only one oxygen involves in product formation. So here hydrogen act like a limiting reagent because it present in less amount. And product formation depend on only hydrogen.
